Super-Paramagnetic Iron Oxide Tracer

For Preclinical Magnetic Resonance and Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI)

VivoTrax Plus™ A new nanoparticle designed for MPI performance, tripling signal and improved resolution over Vivotrax.  While VivoTrax remains to be the most common particle in use due to its similarity to clinically approved tracers. VivoTrax Plus offers better flexibility to MPI experimental modeling reducing cell number sensitivity and higher resolved images.

VivoTraxâ„¢ is for use in research MRI and MPI to track cells non-invasively in vivo or vascular imaging. It is a simple to use nanoparticle for loading into cells for cell tracking experiments and as a blood pool agent. The dextran magnetite solution is well characterized and has been widely used with magnetic resonance and magnetic particle imaging.

VivoTrax is one of the few available tracers proven on magnetic particle imaging due to their unique magnetic properties. Certain dextran magnetites are not only used for cell tracking, but approved for clinical imaging in many countries to detect liver carcinomas.

VivoTrax & VivoTrax Plus™ is available in 5-tube packages. Each vial contains 1.1 mL of VivoTrax superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) dextran magnetite nanoparticle solution, comprising ~5.5 mg/mL total iron and ~6 mg/mL carboxydextran in sterilized PBS Endotoxins <0.5 EU/mg Fe.
